The Zwack Unicum Riserva 40% vol. 0.7 l + GB is an exceptional and luxurious edition of the famous Hungarian herbal liqueur Unicum, which develops a particularly deep and complex interplay of aromas thanks to its double maturation in two different types of cask. Produced in the traditional Zwack distillery in Budapest, Unicum Riserva stands for Hungarian craftsmanship, centuries-old knowledge and the consistent further development of a national cult drink.

Unicum Riserva owes its uniqueness to a double barrel ageing process. Firstly, the original Unicum is stored in the distillery's largest and oldest wooden barrel, which has been resting in Zwack's historic cellars for over eighty years. Over the decades, an aromatic layer has formed on the barrel walls, which the master distillers affectionately refer to as "black honey". This provides additional depth, warmth and complexity to the flavor profile.

In the second maturation stage, the Unicum is transferred to Tokaj oak barrels in which the famous Hungarian sweet wine Tokaji Aszu was previously stored. These barrels give the liqueur its exceptionally soft, round structure and balance fruity, vinous nuances with the bitter, spicy herbal tones that have shaped the character of Unicum for generations.

The result is a noble, multi-faceted herbal liqueur with perfectly balanced aromas of bitter herbs, dried fruits, honey and fine wood, combining both tradition and innovation.
