Limited to just 3,900 bottles, this edition is designated Release No. 416 and is aimed at collectors and connoisseurs of exceptional single malts. For the Wolfburn Small Batch Release No. 416, only first-fill Ruby Port casks were used, which were sourced back in 2016 from Portugal’s famous Douro Valley—one of the oldest protected wine regions in the world. The whisky matured entirely in these first-fill port casks for ten years, developing exceptional depth as well as intense fruit and wine aromas. At 46% ABV, this single malt Scotch whisky is full-bodied and well-balanced. The combination of sweet port aromas, dark fruits, subtle oak notes, and the typical character of a Highland single malt makes this bottling a truly special tasting experience.
