Winkler-Hermaden Olivin 2021 14% Vol. 3l in wooden box

The Winkler-Hermaden Olivin 2021 is an expressive red wine from southeastern Styria, one of the top wines from the traditional Winkler-Hermaden winery. With its impressive 3-liter capacity and elegant wooden case, it presents itself as a wine for special occasions and festive moments. The 33rd vintage of this exceptional wine is based on the Blauer Zweigelt grape variety, which thrives on the mineral-rich soils surrounding the Kapfensteiner Kogel. Named after the semiprecious stone olivine, which occurs as an inclusion in the basalt rock of this region, this wine symbolizes the connection between earth, wood, and vines – a truly unique terroir.

The grapes were carefully harvested by hand from September 23 to 29, 2020, and after gentle vinification, they were vinified into a wine that impresses with its finesse and power. Aging took place for 24 months in Kapfenstein oak barriques, which imparted its distinctive spice, depth, and structure to the olivine. It was bottled on May 25, 2023, and has been available since September 1, 2023. With an alcohol content of 14% vol., dry vinification, and the winery's organic and vegan practices, it embodies the highest quality and sustainability.
