The Torabhaig TAIGH House Style Stoidhle Taighe Single Malt 46% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is the first Core Range bottling from the young Torabhaig Distillery on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. The name "Taigh", Gaelic for "house" or "home", is emblematic of the distillery's characteristic house style. Torabhaig follows the philosophy of "Smoke with Taste" - a style in which the smoke does not dominate, but rather elegantly accompanies the aromas. The single malt Scotch whisky is made from gently peated malt and matured in a careful combination of first fill bourbon casks, refill bourbon casks and selected Madeira casks. While the first fill bourbon casks bring out notes of vanilla, honey and sweet spices, refill casks allow the distillery character to emerge more strongly. The Madeira casks complete the profile with a rounded fruity sweetness and warmth. This Islay-style Island whisky is bottled at 46%, naturally non-chill-filtered and without colorants.

The Torabhaig TAIGH House Style Single Malt is elegant, balanced and accessible. The combination of maritime smoke, fruity and sweet cask notes and spicy accents results in a multi-layered whisky with a clear signature from the distillery. This bottling impressively demonstrates the development of the young distillery and defines the future style of its Skye single malt whiskies.
