The Macallan 12 Years Old Sherry Oak Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky is one of the classic releases from the historic Macallan Distillery in Speyside. This single malt is aged for at least 12 years on The Macallan Estate and is part of the Sherry Oak Collection, whose character is largely shaped by European oak casks previously filled with sherry. These carefully selected casks give the whisky its characteristic blend of dried fruits, ginger, spices, and oak. As the whisky matures, both the fruity notes and the typical woody spice intensify. Another distinctive feature is its entirely natural color, which develops exclusively during the long cask aging process and requires no additional coloring agents.

The Macallan 12 Years Sherry Oak is bottled at 40% ABV in a 0.7-liter bottle. Its combination of European oak and sherry cask maturation exemplifies one of The Macallan’s most famous styles, blending raisins, sultanas, and candied citrus peel with ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and subtle vanilla. The current design of the Macallan Sherry Oak Collection also highlights the significance of the casks: in his design, renowned designer David Carson reinterprets the journey and craftsmanship surrounding the sherry casks. The Macallan Estate on the River Spey remains the historic heart of the brand, directly linking the production of the whiskey to its origins in Scotland’s Speyside region.
