The Macallan 12 Years Old Colour Collection is part of a special series that pays tribute to The Macallan's uncompromising philosophy of natural color and sherry seasoning. For generations, the renowned Speyside distillery has stood for maturation in oak casks pre-seasoned with sherry from Jerez de la Frontera in Spain. This Speyside single malt Scotch whisky is also matured in American oak casks seasoned with sherry wine, supplemented by a subtle amount of European oak to harmoniously balance structure and depth.

As the latest bottling in the series, the Macallan 12 Years Color Collection 0.7 l features the lightest natural hue in the range, an elegant golden oak. The coloring is created exclusively by the cask maturation, without the addition of colorants. The packaging was designed in collaboration with artist and graphic designer David Carson, who worked with elements from the Albariza chalk earth from Jerez. Next to the whisky is the iconic Easter Elchies House, the spiritual home of The Macallan in Speyside. This 12 year matured Highland whisky combines precision craftsmanship with cultural inspiration, emphasizing the importance of cask quality and provenance.
