The Stauning KAOS Triple Malt Danish Whisky DIY Edition Batch 2 - 2023 is a handcrafted and limited bottling from the multi-award-winning Stauning Distillery in West Jutland, Denmark. This triple malt whisky combines three different types of malt in a unique way: smoked malted barley, unpeated malted barley and malted rye. This interplay creates a multi-faceted aroma profile that combines spicy depth, sweet malt notes and a fine smokiness - a real flagship for Danish whisky innovation.
It is matured in first fill American oak and ex-bourbon casks, which give the whisky its harmonious vanilla sweetness, gentle woody aromas and creamy texture. Bottled at 46% vol., non-chill-filtered and without the addition of colorants, the DIY Edition Batch 2 retains its natural character and golden color, which comes exclusively from the cask maturation. This second batch edition is characterized by a particularly good balance between peat smoke, cereal spice and fruity warmth - a whisky that will delight both beginners and experienced connoisseurs.
