The St. Kilian EX CHAMPAGNER VIN CLAIR single cask malt whisky stands for uncompromising German whisky craftsmanship and an exceptional choice of cask, which is a rarity in the single cask whisky segment. Produced by St. Kilian Distillers in Lower Franconia, this single malt whisky from Germany is based on carefully malted barley and traditional distillation in copper stills. It was matured in an ex-champagne Vin Clair cask, a cask that was previously filled with the still base wine for champagne, giving the whisky a special depth, freshness and elegant structure. As a single cask bottling, this whisky was bottled at 58.7% cask strength and thus retains its full intensity and individuality.

The St. Kilian EX Champagne Vin Clair is aimed at experienced connoisseurs and collectors who appreciate unusual cask maturations and precisely crafted cask strength whiskies. The combination of powerful distillate and the fine, vinous cask strength creates an exciting interplay of structure, freshness and depth. This single cask malt whisky occupies a special position within the St. Kilian portfolio and underlines the distillery's experimental claim to consistently implement new approaches to cask maturation.
