Sipsmith London V.J.O.P. Gin 57,7% Vol. 0,7l

Sipsmith London V.J.O.P. Gin is a navy-strength gin with a particularly pronounced juniper character from the Sipsmith Distillery in London. The abbreviation V.J.O.P. stands for “Very Junipery Over Proof” and perfectly captures the essence of this robust bottling. It was developed with the goal of bringing juniper—the central botanical—even more to the forefront than in the classic Sipsmith London Dry Gin. To achieve this, the distillery uses twice the amount of juniper berries and combines them with an elaborate three-step juniper infusion process. A key part of this process is a three-day maceration, which allows the characteristic essential oils of the juniper berries to develop with particular intensity.

To match the increased botanical intensity, Sipsmith V.J.O.P. Gin is bottled at a robust 57.7% alcohol by volume. The high alcohol content enhances the pronounced juniper character and makes the gin particularly assertive in classic cocktails and long drinks. With its uncompromising focus on juniper, the Very Junipery Over Proof Gin is a particularly intense interpretation of the traditional London gin style. The combination of Navy Strength, double the amount of juniper, and a three-stage infusion process makes the 0.7-liter bottle particularly appealing to lovers of classic, dry gins with a distinct juniper profile.
