Distilled in 2013 and matured for twelve years, this bottling comes from the renowned Caol Ila Distillery, which is known for its maritime smoky style and precise distillation. The 100 Proof Edition stands for deliberately high alcohol strength in order to present the structure, texture and cask character unadulterated. The single malt cask #65 was specifically selected to clearly and authentically reflect the typical Caol Ila character.
Bottled at 57.1% vol., naturally without chill filtration and without colorants, this cask strength Islay whisky is intense yet precisely structured. The maturation in selected oak casks supports the smoky distillery character without masking it.
