The Salzl Cabernet Franc Premium 2020 is a majestic red wine from Burgenland's Seewinkel region and is undoubtedly one of Austria's great character wines. Made from 100% Cabernet Franc, this premium wine demonstrates a perfect balance between power, elegance, and terroir expression. The vines thrive on Paratschernozem soils, consisting of loamy sand with a high gravel content – a soil structure that ensures optimal drainage and deep rooting, giving the wine its distinctive minerality.

Vinification follows the traditional method: 18 days of maceration, alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks at 30°C, followed by malolactic fermentation. The subsequent 24-month aging in small oak barrels – made from 100% new oak – imparts depth, density, and refined aging aromas to the wine. With 14% alcohol by volume, an opulent structure, and at the same time a refined elegance, the Cabernet Franc has enormous potential – ready to drink from 2024, with a shelf life of at least 2040 with optimal storage.
