The name Ron Cueva 1501 refers to the Cueva tribe, one of the earliest indigenous peoples of Panama, who were sighted by Spanish explorers in 1501. By 1535, this tribe had disappeared as a result of conquest and disease. The Ron Cueva is a monument to their heritage. Today, the producer actively supports indigenous communities in Panama through social projects - and is bringing a piece of history back to the present with this bottling.

The rum impresses with its deep mahogany hue, its density and an expressive interplay of aromas, which is characterized by the long maturation in oak barrels. It is one of the oldest solera rums on the market and is aimed at connoisseurs who appreciate depth, complexity and origin.
