A distinctive feature of Ron Barcelo is the use of fresh sugarcane juice instead of molasses. Natural aging in former bourbon barrels gives the rum its balanced structure and imparts subtle wood, vanilla, and toasted aromas. Its full body is complemented by a pleasant sweetness and subtle spicy notes. Caramel color (E150a) is used to achieve its intense golden amber color.
