The Rochelt Wachauer Marille 2018 50% ABV 0.35 l is an exclusive apricot brandy from the traditional Rochelt distillery in Tyrol, known for its uncompromising quality philosophy and decades of experience in producing the finest distillates. This brandy is made exclusively from fully ripe, aromatic apricots from the Wachau region – a region in Lower Austria known worldwide for its particularly fruity apricots.
The harvest is done by hand, and only healthy and fully ripe fruit is used. After a gentle, natural fermentation without added sugar or flavorings, the mash is double distilled in small copper stills. The brandy then matures for several years in open-pore glass balloons, which develops its exceptional smoothness and depth. The 2018 harvest marked ideal ripening conditions, reflected in particularly intense fruit expression.
