Distilled in 2014 and matured for over ten years in toasted oak casks, Port Askaig 10 Years reveals an impressive depth and complexity. The use of toasted barrels - barrels that have been heated on the inside to intensify the wood and caramel aromas - gives this whisky warm, sweet and spicy notes that combine wonderfully with the typical Islay peat. Bottled in cask strength at a powerful 57.8% vol., it is presented in its natural form - not chill-filtered and without colorants - an expression of pure distillation artistry.
