The Planteray PXXO 20th Anniversary Barbados Rum is an exceptional anniversary edition and a tribute to 20 years of masterful rum craftsmanship from the Planteray brand. With an alcohol content of 40% vol., this Extra Old Barbados Rum represents the essence of traditional Caribbean craftsmanship, refined by the innovative ageing concept of Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel.

Planteray PXXO is based on the finest molasses, which is fermented over 3 to 5 days and then distilled in both twin column stills and classic pot stills (The Old Gregg's). The rum consists of a blend of very old distillates, which are matured in various types of cask with different degrees of toasting - including new white oak, ex-bourbon casks, Ferrand cognac casks and, as a special third maturation, Pedro Ximenez sherry casks from Andalusia. This final barrel maturation gives the rum its unmistakable, nutty depth and a velvety sweetness of dried raisins and fine wood.

With this bottling, Planteray adds an extra dimension to the globally acclaimed profile of the classic XO: the refinement in ex-Pedro Ximenez casks brings out elegant notes of raisins, walnuts and fine sweetness - a tribute to Spain's centuries-old sherry tradition.
