The Planteray Rum Guatemala & Belize Gran Anejo represents the artful combination of two traditional rum-producing countries and unites Caribbean maturity with French barrel refinement. This Gran Anejo rum is composed from carefully selected distillates from Guatemala and Belize and embodies the characteristic style of Planteray Rum. The premium rum is first matured for three years in ex-bourbon barrels in Central America, where the climate and storage conditions ensure depth, structure and aromatic richness.
It is then transported to the cellars of Maison Ferrand in France, where the rum is given an additional finish in ex-Cognac barrels. This second maturation phase gives the Planteray Gran Anejo its elegant balance, additional complexity and a particularly soft texture. Bottled at 42% and supplied with a gift box, this matured rum presents itself as a versatile yet sophisticated bottling that clearly focuses on craftsmanship, origin and barrel expertise.
