The Planteray Rum BARBADOS XO 20th Anniversary 40% Vol. 0.7 l is an exceptionally elegant and multi-award-winning premium Barbados rum, which was created to mark the 20th anniversary of Alexandre Gabriel at Maison Ferrand. This high-quality XO rum combines traditional Caribbean rum art with French barrel ageing and exemplifies the characteristic signature of Planteray Rum. The combination of tropical maturation in Barbados and additional refinement in France gives this Barbados XO rum its exceptional complexity and smooth structure.
The blend consists of various Barbados rums aged for at least 13 years, which are first stored in former bourbon barrels in the Caribbean. This is followed by blending at Cognac Ferrand in France, before the rum undergoes a second maturation phase in small old Cognac barrels made from French oak. This elaborate process ensures impressive softness, elegant wood spice and exceptional aromatic depth. With an alcohol content of 40%, Planteray Barbados XO 20th Anniversary is harmonious, creamy and extremely full-bodied.
