The Pfneisl Ried Altes Weingebirge Blaufraenkisch Mittelburgenland DAC Reserve 2021 is a deep, long-lived Austrian quality red wine that impressively reflects the historical origins of the Altes Weingebirge vineyard in Deutschkreutz. Produced by the renowned Pfneisl winery, this Blaufraenkisch DAC Reserve comes from the oldest vineyard site in the region, where viticulture was already practised in Roman times. The vines are rooted at up to 255 m above sea level in loess-loam soils with a light sandy layer and limestone in the subsoil; the Pannonian climate, influenced by Lake Neusiedl, ensures ripeness, structure and aromatic depth.

The Pfneisl Blaufraenkisch Ried Altes Weingebirge is vinified dry and matures for an impressive 36 months in new 500-liter barrels, giving the wine density, complexity and exceptional ageing potential. With 15% alcohol, the 2021 vintage is powerful yet precisely balanced. The Mittelburgenland DAC Reserve classification underlines the claim of this wine as a site and terroir ambassador. Bottled with natural cork, this bottling stands for lasting elegance, depth and a great future.
