The Octomore Ochdamh-mor SINGLE CASK Super Heavily Peated Islay Single Malt 66.2% is an exceptional single-cask release from the Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay, selected exclusively for Austria. This uncompromisingly peaty Islay single malt Scotch whisky is made exclusively from 100% Concerto barley, whose malt was peated to an intense 101.4 PPM. After distillation, the whisky matured for six years in a single first-fill bourbon barrel, allowing the powerful Octomore smoke to blend with vanilla, malty sweetness, and the characteristic notes of American oak. The cask was personally selected by Master Blender Adam Hannett, while maturation and bottling took place entirely on Islay.

With an impressive 66.2% alcohol by volume, the Octomore Ochdamh-mor Single Cask showcases the unadulterated character of a single cask in a particularly concentrated form. Sweet barbecue smoke and malty grain notes meet honey, brown sugar, and marzipan, before peach, orchard fruits, and spicy notes of ginger and nutmeg add further depth. Chocolate, cocoa, and coffee blend with a surprising salty sea note, underscoring its maritime origins. Only 264 bottles were bottled exclusively for Austria, making this 6-year-old Octomore Single Cask Edition an exceptionally rare release for collectors and enthusiasts of extremely peated Islay whiskies. Due to the unique combination of barley, cask, alcohol content, and PPM, this edition cannot be replicated in exactly the same form.
