Nikka Yoichi Single Malt Whisky 90th Anniversary 45% Vol. 0,7l in Giftbox

The Nikka Yoichi Single Malt Whisky 90th Anniversary 45% combines the robust character of Japan’s Yoichi Distillery with a special presentation commemorating Nikka Whisky’s 90th anniversary. The company was founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, one of the defining pioneers of Japanese whiskey. His first distillery was established in Yoichi on Hokkaido, where the cool climate and proximity to the sea provided ideal conditions for the robust whiskey style he sought. A distinctive feature of the distillery to this day is the now-rare practice of directly firing the pot stills with charcoal, which contributes significantly to the robust, slightly toasted, and smoky character of Yoichi single malts. The anniversary edition honors this long distillery history with a specially designed 90th Anniversary gift box.

The Yoichi Single Malt Japanese Whisky is bottled at 45% ABV and carries no age statement, allowing malt whiskies from the distillery that have been aged for varying lengths of time to be blended into a balanced overall profile. Fruity aromas and gentle oak notes contrast with a distinctive peaty character and subtle roasted notes, while the finish blends sweet oak with elegant smokiness. It is precisely this blend of fruit, peat, smoke, and robust malt character that makes Yoichi a unique representative of Japanese single malts. The 0.7-liter bottle, presented in a 90th Anniversary gift box, highlights the special occasion and makes this release appealing to both Nikka Whisky enthusiasts and collectors of distinctive anniversary editions.
