The Marchesi Antinori Tignanello IGT 2023, 14.5% ABV, in a 1.5-liter magnum bottle presented in a wooden case, is one of Italy’s most significant and influential red wines and is considered an icon of the modern Italian wine world. Produced at the famous Marchesi Antinori Tenuta Tignanello in the heart of Chianti Classico, this legendary wine made history. Tignanello was the first Sangiovese to be aged in barriques, one of the first Super Tuscans to incorporate international grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, and one of the region’s first high-quality red wines to deliberately forgo the traditional addition of white grape varieties.

The approximately 165 hectares of vineyards at Tenuta Tignanello are situated between the Greve and Pesa valleys at elevations with limestone- and slate-rich soils composed of Alberese and Galestro rock. Warm days and cool nights create ideal conditions for the ripening of the grapes. The Tignanello 2023 is produced from a careful selection of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. This exceptional blend combines the elegance and freshness of Sangiovese with the structure and depth of the two Cabernet varieties. Aging in barriques lends the wine additional complexity and finesse.

The iconic label was designed in 1974 by the famous designer Silvio Coppola. The stylized sun, the Antinori family’s historic coat of arms, and Niccolo Antinori’s signature make every bottle a symbol of Italian wine culture. The elegant 1.5-liter magnum bottle in a wooden case underscores the exclusive character of this Super Tuscan, making it a coveted collector’s item and gift with excellent aging potential.
