The 2022 Tignanello from Marchesi Antinori is one of Italy's most important wines – an iconic Super Tuscan that has been considered a style-defining milestone in modern Italian viticulture since the 1970s. It comes from the renowned Tenuta Tignanello, located in the heart of the Chianti Classico region, and was the region's first wine to be aged in barriques using French grape varieties – a revolution that continues to set standards worldwide.

The 2022 vintage blend consists of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. The grapes come exclusively from the eponymous single vineyard, "Tignanello," located on calcareous soils with Albarese and Galestro rock – ideal conditions for dense, structured, and age-worthy wines. The wine is aged for 14–16 months in French and Hungarian barriques before final blending and further aging in the bottle.
