The Lochlea RED WINE CASK Single Estate Single Malt Scotch Whisky Release 2025 46% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is a limited and expressive bottling from the independent Lochlea Distillery in the Scottish Lowlands. The distillery is a genuine farm-to-bottle distillery that carries out all stages of production - from barley cultivation to distillation and bottling - directly on its own estate. This consistent single estate principle gives each whisky an unmistakable character and a deep connection to the land on which it is produced.

For the Red Wine Cask Release 2025, the whisky was first matured in classic oak casks and then finished in fine Grenache red wine casks. These expressive casks give the whisky an intense aroma with notes of ripe red fruits, dark cherries and subtle spices, while at the same time giving it a warm, reddish-golden color and an elegant, velvety texture. The Grenache casks provide additional depth, which blends harmoniously with the natural malt notes and delicate honey sweetness of the Lochlea house style.

Bottled at 46% by volume, non-chill-filtered and natural in color, this single malt is at its most authentic - powerful, balanced and full of character. The interplay of the red wine cask finish and regional barley makes it an impressive representative of modern Lowland whisky art.
