The KRISPEL Chardonnay Straden Vulkanland Steiermark DAC 2023 is an outstanding organic white wine that impressively demonstrates the depth and character of a Chardonnay from Styria's Vulkanland region. The Krispel winery, located in the picturesque Straden region, has always combined sustainable agriculture with precise craftsmanship in the vineyards and cellar. This vintage comes from carefully tended vineyards on volcanic soils and impresses with its finesse, structure, and elegant interplay of aromas.
Aging takes place for ten months in large French oak barrels – a vinification process that lends the wine depth, delicate spice, and a subtle creaminess without overpowering its freshness. Despite its power and aging potential, this Chardonnay is surprisingly easy to drink, with a refined balance and a long, minerally-characterized finish.
