The Kilchoman GENESIS MALTING Stage 3 49.4% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is an exceptional Islay single malt Scotch whisky, the third release in the renowned Genesis series "From Barley to Bottle". The independent farm distillery Kilchoman is one of the most exciting distilleries on Islay and is known for its consistent control of all stages of production - from growing its own barley to bottling. With the Genesis series, Kilchoman documents the entire production process of a single malt in detail. The Stage 3 Edition is specifically dedicated to days 13 and 14 of traditional kilning over peat fires.

A combination of 30% own barley at 20 ppm and 70% barley from the Port Ellen Maltings at 50 ppm is used for this limited edition peated single malt whisky. Maturation takes place in a complex combination of 70% ex-bourbon casks, 25% STR wine casks and 5% ex-sherry casks, resulting in intense smoky, fruity and spicy notes. With a strong 49.4% alcohol content, this Kilchoman whisky is particularly aromatic, creamy and complex. Only 3600 bottles were bottled worldwide, giving this edition additional collector's character.
