The Kerschbaum Blaufraenkisch Ried Hochaecker 2023 comes from the largest and most important vineyard of the Kerschbaum estate. Due to its special location, the Hochaecker vineyard is considered predestined for the production of first-class, traditionally matured Blaufraenkisch wines. The 2023 vintage was predominantly matured in wooden barrels, which gives the wine structure, depth and a high potential for development. With 13.5 percent vol., this Blaufraenkisch shows a clear, varietal orientation that clearly reveals its origin. The careful processing and precise vinification make this wine a strong representative of its region, which impressively reflects the style of Burgenland.

Thanks to its microclimate and soil structure, the Hochaecker vineyard produces a Blaufraenkisch that is both appealing in its youth and has the ability to continue to develop positively over the coming years. The wine reaches its optimum drinking maturity around three years after correct ageing and then displays a particularly harmonious balance of structure and complexity. Thanks to its combination of traditional ageing, typicality of origin and stable development prospects, this Blaufraenkisch is suitable for enjoyable evenings, sophisticated table culture and a variety of culinary combinations.
