The Isle of Raasay The Draam Hebridean Single Malt Whisky comes from the young and award-winning Isle of Raasay Distillery on the Hebridean island of the same name, off the coast of the Isle of Skye. First introduced in 2021, this legendary single malt is based on master distiller Alasdair Day's unique six-cask recipe. With its honey-gold color and subtle hints of red wine, it offers a remarkable depth of flavor that transcends its age.
The Draam draws inspiration from an older style of Hebridean single malt whisky, but possesses a lighter, fragrant smokiness elegantly balanced by intense dark fruit flavors. The basis is a sophisticated recipe in which two different spirits—peated and unpeated—are aged separately in American rye whiskey casks, fresh Chinkapin oak casks, and first-fill Bordeaux red wine casks. It is bottled at 46.4% ABV, with a natural color and without chill filtration.
