The InchDairnie KinGlassie 8 Years Old Raw is an intensely peated Fife single malt Scotch whisky from the InchDairnie Distillery in the Scottish Lowlands. KinGlassie embodies the distillery’s deliberately smoky style and is distilled only during a brief production period in the winter. This bottling is made from 100% barley grown in Fife, whose malt is peated with mainland peat to over 50 ppm. As a result, its smoky character deliberately differs from that of classic, maritime-influenced island whiskies. The whiskey was distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2025 after eight years of aging. The RAW Edition is intended to showcase the original character of the peated InchDairnie distillate in a particularly direct way.

The entire eight-year maturation takes place in ex-Bourbon casks made of American oak, ensuring that smoke, malt, and the distillery’s character remain at the forefront. The KinGlassie RAW 8 Years is bottled at 46.3% ABV, with no chill filtration or added coloring. The combination of locally grown barley, a peat content of over 50 ppm, and consistent maturation in ex-bourbon barrels makes this bottling a distinctive peated Lowland single malt from Fife. At the same time, KinGlassie underscores the experimental approach of InchDairnie, a young Scottish distillery that began production in 2015. The RAW Edition is conceived as a limited-edition release and is aimed particularly at lovers of bold, straightforward peated whiskies.
