The Hillinger Blaufraenkisch 2024 is exemplary for modern Blaufraenkisch from Burgenland and combines origin, varietal typicity and contemporary vinification to create a clearly structured Austrian red wine. The Hillinger winery is known for its consistent quality philosophy and focus on sustainable cultivation, with this vintage coming from organic cultivation and reflecting the authentic character of the grape variety in an unadulterated way. The wine is vinified dry, which clearly emphasizes freshness, spice and fruit. With an alcohol content of 13.5%, the wine is balanced and accessible without losing any of its depth and is ideal for uncomplicated enjoyment as well as for accompanying cuisine.

Mash fermentation took place in steel tanks in order to bring out the fruit and varietal typicity precisely. Around a third of the wine then matured for 12 months in used wooden barrels, which lends structure and depth without masking the fruit-driven style.
