The Havana Club Smoky Cuban Dark Rum is a special bottling with a strong character from the traditional Havana Club, which combines the Cuban art of rum with a deliberately smoky accent. Produced on the basis of classic Cuban rum distillates made from sugar cane molasses, this bottling combines artisanal maturing expertise with a modern barrel concept. The rum is matured predominantly in oak barrels, with part of the maturation taking place in former whisky barrels from Islay. This choice of cask gives the rum a subtle smokiness that blends harmoniously into the overall profile without masking the typical Cuban style.
