The Hagn Blauer Burgunder 2024 13% is an elegant red wine from Lower Austria, crafted as a quality wine from the time-honored Blauer Burgunder grape variety. The grapes come from the Hochluessen vineyard, whose loam-loess soils provide ideal conditions for a Burgundy with a fine structure and distinctive character. After harvest, the grapes are quickly crushed and then fermented for 22 days in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 °C. During maceration, flooding and aeration are used to gently extract the desired compounds from the grape skins. This meticulous vinification lays the foundation for the wine’s elegant yet structured style.

After fermentation, the wine undergoes further aging 100% in large wooden barrels, allowing the Hagn Blauer Burgunder 2024 to develop harmoniously without the influence of the wood overshadowing the variety’s typical character. Great finesse, juiciness, and a clearly discernible tannin structure define the style of this Blauer Burgunder from Lower Austria. In the 0.75-liter bottle, with 13% alcohol, it offers a balanced blend of elegance and structure.
