Glenfiddich 15 OUR SOLERA Single Malt Scotch Whisky 40% Vol. 0,7l

The Glenfiddich 15 OUR SOLERA single malt Scotch whisky is one of the most characteristic bottlings from the traditional Glenfiddich Distillery and exemplifies the spirit of innovation within the Speyside single malts. This single malt Scotch whisky is the only whisky from the distillery to be produced using the solera method. Since 1998, the central solera vat has never been completely emptied and has been kept at least half full of whisky at all times. This means that some of the earlier bottlings are always retained and continue to shape the character of the whisky. For the Glenfiddich 15 Years Old, whiskies from Oloroso sherry casks, bourbon casks and new oak casks are blended together, resulting in exceptional depth and consistency.

Bottled at 40%, Glenfiddich Our Solera Fifteen is balanced, full-bodied and harmonious. It is not a classic sherry cask whisky, but gains its complexity from the targeted interaction of different cask maturations, which react with each other for a limited time in the solera vat. Since the redesign of the Core Range in 2019, this bottling has deliberately been called Our Solera Fifteen to emphasize the special nature of this production process. The striking triangular bottle design with the V-shaped engraving symbolically refers to the Valley of the Deer, the home of the distillery, as well as to the three basic ingredients of water, yeast and grain from which single malt whisky is made.
