The Gesellmann Blaufraenkisch Creitzer Reserve Mittelburgenland DAC 2022 14% Vol. 0.75 l is a characterful red wine from the heart of Mittelburgenland, a region renowned worldwide for its powerful and elegant Blaufraenkisch wines. The Gesellmann winery has been a flagship of Austrian viticulture for generations and stands for the highest quality, craftsmanship, and loyalty to the terroir.

The vines from which this wine is produced are between 20 and 66 years old and produce small-berried, highly concentrated grapes. These are carefully harvested by hand between early and mid-October. The traditional maceration takes place spontaneously in steel tanks, with the mash cap being submerged two to four times daily to achieve maximum color and aroma yield. The wine then undergoes malolactic fermentation in oak barrels and then matures for 20 months in used small oak barrels, which imparts additional structure, finesse, and depth. Bottled in October 2024. With optimal storage, this wine will be ready to drink until at least 2034, making it an excellent collector's item.
