The Gerard Bertrand La Grande Bleue Mediterranee IGP 2025, 13% ABV, in a 0.75-liter bottle is an elegant organic white wine from southern France that embodies the freshness, minerality, and zest for life of the Mediterranean region. Produced by Gerard Bertrand, this characterful cuvee reflects the beauty of the Mediterranean coastal landscape, where sunny days and the influence of the sea create a unique terroir. The name La Grande Bleue—the Big Blue—is a tribute to the Mediterranean Sea, which significantly shapes the style of this wine.

The cuvee blends the southern French grape varieties Rolle (Vermentino), Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes are harvested during the coolest hours of the day to optimally preserve their natural freshness and aromatics. Each grape variety is first vinified separately before the final blend is created. Temperature-controlled fermentation takes place exclusively in stainless steel tanks, while oak aging is deliberately avoided to preserve the purity of the fruit and the maritime freshness.

Particularly noteworthy is Gerard Bertrand’s commitment to sustainability and nature conservation. With this wine, the winery supports Oceana, the world’s largest marine conservation organization, whose goal is to protect and preserve healthy and biodiverse oceans. Thus, this French organic white wine combines excellent taste with a clear commitment to environmental awareness and sustainability.
