The basis for this Riserva is primarily the Sangiovese grape variety, which is supplemented by small proportions of classic complementary grape varieties such as Malvasia Nera, Colorino, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes come from the vineyards around the Castello di Nipozzano in the Chianti-Rufina zone - one of the oldest and most prestigious growing areas in Chianti. After the harvest, the wine is vinified traditionally and then aged for 24 months in oak barrels, which gives it structure, depth and fine spice. The 2022 vintage impresses with elegance, complexity and a perfect balance of fruit, tannin and acidity.
