The traditional distillery in the Scottish Highlands is one of the smallest distilleries in the country and is known for its handcrafted production and exceptional cask maturation. This small batch bottling was distilled in 2016, matured for a total of 10 years and received its special characteristics from selected Sauternes wine casks from Bordeaux.
The maturation in former Sauternes casks gives this single malt whisky an exceptional combination of fruitiness, honey sweetness and spicy depth. The famous sweet wine casks provide additional complexity and bring out elegant notes of apricot, candied fruit and vanilla. The whisky is bottled at 46% vol. without chill-filtration and without the addition of colorants, which preserves the natural aroma and full texture.
