The Douglas Laing Scallywag Cognac Cask The Winter Edition 2026 is a limited-edition Speyside blended malt Scotch whisky from the renowned “Remarkable Regional Malts” series by independent bottler Douglas Laing. Scallywag is blended exclusively from selected single malt whiskies from Speyside. The Winter Edition 2026 stands out within the series because, for the first time, Scallywag received an additional finish in hand-selected Cognac casks. As a result, Scallywag’s characteristic fruity and spicy Speyside style is complemented by additional influences from French cask aging. The 2026 edition is also the second release in the newly revived Winter Edition series.

The Scallywag Winter Edition 2026 is bottled at a robust 54.2% ABV, at natural cask strength. Furthermore, the whiskey is bottled without added color or chill filtration. Only 5,100 bottles of this limited edition are available worldwide. The combination of Speyside malts, robust cask strength, and a cognac cask finish clearly sets this edition apart from the classic Scallywag and makes it particularly appealing to collectors of the Remarkable Regional Malts. The 0.7-liter bottle is presented in a matching gift box and combines the brand’s iconic fox terrier motif with a special release designed specifically for the cold season.
