The Canavere di Giacosa Fratelli Barolo Bussia DOCG 2019 14.5% Vol. 0.75 l comes from the renowned Bussia sub-region in Monforte d'Alba, one of the most prestigious sites in the Barolo area. The Nebbiolo grape variety thrives here on soils with a balanced ratio of clayey and calcareous components and a high proportion of magnesium and microelements, which contribute decisively to the characteristic structure of the wines. The location at the entrance to the valley allows for significant day-night temperature fluctuations, which ensure optimal physiological ripeness and pronounced fruity nuances. Vinification follows a deliberately gentle, non-aggressive vinification process with long maceration before maturing in large wooden barrels of 30 or 60 hectolitres, which significantly supports the elegant tannin structure and harmonious development of the wine.

The 2019 vintage impressively demonstrates the classic signature of the Bussia vineyard and combines power, depth and structure with a special finesse that can only be found in this part of Monforte d'Alba. The combination of terroir, traditional vinification and barrel ageing gives this Barolo a long development potential and makes it attractive for both collectors and lovers of great single-vineyard wines. The wine develops its style ideally at a serving temperature of around 18°C, where its complexity and inner balance become particularly apparent.
