The Auchentoshan THREE WOOD single malt Scotch whisky is one of the best-known bottlings from the traditional Lowland distillery Auchentoshan Distillery and exemplifies the distillery's mild, fruity house style. This bottling is aimed at both beginners and connoisseurs who appreciate an accessible, multi-layered single malt with a pronounced cask finish. As is typical for Auchentoshan, the Three Wood is also triple distilled, resulting in a particularly smooth and elegant distillate.

Auchentoshan Three Wood owes its name to the elaborate three-stage cask maturation process. The whisky first matures for 10 years in ex-bourbon casks, then for 2 years in Oloroso sherry casks and finally receives a 6-month finish in sweet Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. This sequence gives the single malt depth, fruitiness and a balanced sweetness without losing the lightness typical of the Lowlands. Bottled at 43% vol. and with colorant, this bottling is round, harmonious and consistent in character. The whisky is supplied in a high-quality gift box, which also makes it an attractive gift.
