The Antinori Guado al Tasso Bolgheri Superiore DOC 2022 is one of Italy's most important red wines and a true showcase of modern viticulture in Tuscany. This iconic wine comes from the renowned Tenuta Guado al Tasso winery in Bolgheri, in the heart of the Maremma region on the Tuscan coast, where the interplay of maritime breezes, a sunny microclimate, and barren, well-drained soils create ideal conditions for international grape varieties.
The blend typically consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and occasionally a small portion of Petit Verdot. The 2022 vintage produced a particularly elegant and profound wine with pronounced structure, complexity, and ageing potential. The wine is aged for approximately 18 months in French barriques, giving it additional depth, velvety tannins, and a delicately spicy aroma spectrum.
