The Winzerhof Kiss RED KISS 2023 is a charming, fruity red wine cuvee that impresses with its elegance, drinking pleasure and Burgenland character. It comes from the family-run Winzerhof Kiss, located in Jois on the north-eastern shore of Lake Neusiedl in the heart of northern Burgenland. The winery is known for its terroir-based wines, which are vinified with great sensitivity and sustainability. The Neuberg, Mittersatz and Uebermassl vineyards form the foundation of this red wine - sites that are characterized by ideal sun exposure and characterful soils.

The Blaufraenkisch, Zweigelt and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties combine here to create an accessible yet complex cuvee. The vines grow on Tschernosem soils of loamy clay and brown earth with a sandy loam content, which gives the cuvee density, fruit and harmonious structure. After manual harvesting, a classic mash fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at 30 °C, followed by malolactic fermentation in wooden barrels. Further ageing for 6 months in used wooden barrels gives the wine a fine maturity without dominant wood tones. The wine is bottled with a screw cap, which emphasizes its freshness. It can be drunk until at least 2027 if stored optimally.
