The Villa Sandi winery, located in the heart of the Prosecco region of Veneto, Italy, is a renowned winery known for its high-quality sparkling and still wines. Villa Sandi, a magnificent 17th century building, serves as the impressive headquarters of the winery and reflects the rich history and tradition of winemaking in this region.

Villa Sandi is particularly famous for its Prosecco production. The grapes grow on the hilly landscapes of Valdobbiadene, where the microclimate and mineral-rich soils provide ideal conditions for cultivation. The grapes are carefully harvested by hand to ensure the best possible quality. Sustainability and environmental protection are paramount, which is underlined by modern techniques and numerous certifications.

Villa Sandi Cartizze La Rivetta is a cuvee made from 60% Pinot Nero and 40% Chardonnay. This true cru is the result of a combination of a gentle microclimate and very old soils rich in calcareous sandstones and clays, which are ideal conditions for viticulture.

The fully ripe grapes are gently pressed in a pneumatic press. After a first racking, the resulting must is filled into temperature-controlled tanks where it remains until further processing.

The must is mixed with specially selected yeast cultures from Villa Sandi and transferred to tanks where fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 15-16°C to enhance the aromas of the grapes. Once the required alcohol and sugar content is reached, fermentation is stopped by cooling. After a short settling period, the sparkling wine is ready for bottling, which is sealed with a natural cork.
