The limited edition Tomintoul 15 Years Old was specially launched in 2006 to receive a unique refinement through a Portwood finish. This special bottling was created to honor the deep-rooted tradition and craft heritage of Master Distiller Robert Fleming, whose family is now in its fourth generation of whisky making.
The single malt selected for this edition was distilled in 2006 and first underwent a maturation period in ex-bourbon casks, which gave it a solid foundation of rich flavors and a smooth texture.
In a carefully monitored process, the second maturation phase then took place in the finest port casks, which were specially sourced from Portugal.
Only 9,762 bottles of this limited edition were bottled, making it an exclusive collector's item for connoisseurs and enthusiasts.
