The Tomatin 12 Years Old SHERRY CASK is a Highland single malt Scotch whiskey that is matured entirely in sherry casks for 12 years. Unlike a whiskey that undergoes only a final sherry finish, this bottling spends its entire maturation period in sherry casks. The single malt comes from the Tomatin Distillery in the Scottish Highlands, whose officially documented history dates back to 1897. The distillery is known for a generally unpeated, smooth, and fruit-forward house style, as well as a strong focus on diverse cask maturations. The 12-Year-Old Sherry Cask was introduced in 2024 as an addition to the core range and specifically highlights the influence of sherry cask maturation.

At 40% ABV in a 0.7-liter bottle, the Tomatin 12 Year Old Sherry Cask Single Malt combines the distillery’s classic Highland style with a particularly pronounced sherry cask component. The full 12-year sherry cask maturation imparts a richer character and clearly distinguishes this variant from the regular Tomatin 12 Years Old Triple Cask, which matures in ex-bourbon, ex-sherry, and refill casks. The Sherry Cask was developed specifically in response to international demand for well-matured sherry cask single malts. With this release, Tomatin offers a whiskey in which age, cask type, and distillery character are clearly defined.
