The sixth and probably last edition of this Macallan series was inspired by the 173 km long Scottish river "Spey".
A wonder of nature, which ensures that Macallan Whiskies are what they are today. The sixth edition of the series is deeply connected with the history of the region around the river as well as with the wildlife there.
This river is also home to the endangered Atlantic salmon. Macallan supports the Atlantic Salmon Trust, an organization that works to protect the region's wildlife and raise awareness.
Steven Bremner, Macallan's whisky maker, hand-picked all 5 casks of this edition and let the history of the region flow into the production process.
