The Glenlivet DISTILLER'S RESERVE Triple Cask Matured Single Malt Scotch Whisky gets its special, sweet and at the same time spicy taste from a maturation that takes place in 3 different casks. This Glenlivet matures in traditional oak casks, then in a cask made of American white oak and finally in ex-sherry casks, and the different combination of casks ensures that each of the three whiskies has an exceptional and unique taste.
