The Glenlivet distillery is the first licensed whiskey distillery in Scotland. Founded in 1824, the company is now the largest malt distillery in Scotland, producing around 12 million liters of whiskey a year.
Glenlivet 15 Years Old French Oak Reserve matures for at least 15 years in French Limousin oak casks.
The barrels used come from the Dordogne region of France and often find their use for cognacs.
The low density allows the whiskey to sink deep into the wood, the result is a unique pleasant spiciness.
