Since the founding of the Balvenie distillery, there have been hardly any changes; the single malts are still produced in the traditional way today.
Together with its sister distillery Glenfiddich, The Balvenie is still independent and family-owned by its founders.
The Balvenie 'The Creation of a Classic' is a tribute to the creativity of David C. Stewart MBE. He has been with the company for more than 57 years.
The maturation takes place in American oak casks. The finish is in sherry casks.
