The quarter casks used come from the Koval distillery in Chicago, which uses these 115-liter casks for its bourbon before they are sent to Lochranza. The whisky was bottled in bourbon casks in 2012 and matured for five and a half years before being transferred to the Koval Quarter Casks in 2018, where it matured for a further five and a half years.
As only a few of these quarter casks were bottled, they are extremely rare. The smaller cask size allows for more intensive maturation, which gives the whisky more complex aromas and more depth. The Signature Series showcases Arran's craftsmanship and dedication.
